kept at all. Some will be discarded.

When
America's founders
were alive, life expenctency beyond age 45 — especially life unincumbered by illness or
disability — was so short mechanisms like term limits didn't occur to them.
Today's medical advancement that can keep ancients viable as politicians for
periods better measured in glacial periods than mere years, would have been
unimaginiable. Hence, the Constitution contains no mechanisms to
prevent the kind of corruption so much power held for so many decades
is capable of spawning.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

When half of the people get the idea that they do

New Ideas:
-
First people ridicule them, Then they oppose them, Then they accept them as
self–evident.
-
First people ignore them, Then they ridicule, Then they fight them, Then they
lose.

An indicator of high intelligence is the ability to see small distinctions among similar
things: That is why to the ignorant bigot, "they all look alike".

People of high intelligence are attracted to the discussion of ideas. The ignorant prefer
to discuss other people.

Squabbling with intellectually dishonest people is no different than wrestling with a

Reparations are long overdue for slavery — to America — from:
-
Africans who 1) turned selling their fellow citizens as slaves into a profitable
industry, and thereby provided European liberals a rebuttal to criticism by the
religious right of the time who decried slavery as an abomination before God: The
religious right needed to show respect for other cultures and keep their religious
beliefs in their churches.
-
Holland, whose Dutch Slave–Traders (along with those of the Netherlands) made
enormous profits by monopolizing slavery's distribution franchise.
-
English, French and Spanish who made enormous profits by thoroughly infecting the
New World with slavery more than a century before America existed.

America"
was born with that infection, and it cost the lives of 500,000
Americans
just to expel that infection from its legal documents. God only knows how much
its aftermath cost us.

TAPP will acknowledge the liberal argument that
America's founders
should have moved faster to end the infection if, and only if, and only after,
those liberals declare a willingness to commit the same sacrifice in lives and
wealth to rid

of drugs that chain far more
Americans
to equally great slavery today.

America needs an intellectually honest adult discussion of "Racism". The people who
wallow in and profit from racism are exclusively "minorities".
95% of people who label themselves "Black" voted for Sen. Obama solely because he was
"Black"
People who are labeled "White" by those who label themselves "Black" split almost exactly
50/50 in the same election.
Speakers like Al Sharpton even set specific behavioral standards by which
people are certified real "Blacks" and which are only "Oreos".
Billions of public money — and money extorted from private companies — fund those
who promote racial distinctions. People whose ancestors have ancient reasons for hatred
like Irish/English, German/French, Mongols, etc. and gave them up to merge with
each other in America's melting pot — to become one people — ask nothing.
"Black Liberationist theology" is embraced nationally by those who label themselves
"Black" including a presidential candidate. People labeled
"White" have no comparable institutions or serious political candidates.

The problem with America's schools is that those in charge are "educators" but what
America's children need are accomplished "learners".
-
It is foolish to the point of stupidity to assume an "education" major could help and
motivate children to learn math, science, grammar, history, etc. half so well as
someone who majored in those "disciplines".
-
To those who love learning, learning is work they revel in, like Michel Angelo spending
years of his life to create the Sistine Chapel. To "Educators" teaching is a job that is
simplified by making it fun for children.

The foolish neither forgive nor forget.

The naive both forgive and forget.

The intelligent forgive, but never forget.

People with high and average intelligence discuss ideas and occurrences.

People with low intelligence discuss other people.

Ethics is a singular noun, like news; Ethics is. Not Ethics are.
Ethics is a commitment to the proposition that there is a
Principal Good
by which
all other things humans do can be judged good or bad.
Logically,
Principal Good
can never be defined in words, because all those words would
do is substitute themselves for
Principal Good,
like defining the color "orange" in
other words. At some point, human communication and thinking requires "we" all point
to something and agree that is what we will always mean when any of us say "orange".
All past efforts to do so have failed, so maybe its impossible, and therefore the only
way to ever define
Principal Good
is by enumeration of things humans agree are good
and those we agree are evil — AND the insistence the list remain internally consistent
and contain ambiguities as a result of over generalization, e.g. "thou shalt not kill"
and "its a parent's duty to protect their children's lives". [I suspect the real
commandment was closer to "thou shalt not commit murder". Grin ... I know for sure it
was not "thou shalt not kill", because Moses didn't speak English.]
Ethics was identified as a part of the Universe, that implies most humans are hardwired
to act in accordance with a guiding principle (that for a spoiled child might be "its
good if I want in now, its bad if I don't like it today".)
Ditto God. Humans seem hardwired to need a God and always have.
So maybe God is one definition for
Principal Good
(that requires no education or reasoning)
that defines
Principal Good
by enumeration, e.g. by a finite list
of things a person should do and should not do.
Which may in fact be the only way to define Principal Good?
-
Note: Poorly educated (or well educated but dishonest) people often say
"consistency
is the hobgoblin of small minds." That is, however, a false quote. The
correct one is "foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of
small minds."
A useful corollary is that a sign of high intelligence is the ability to see fine
distinctions among similar things. That is why to the ignorant bigot
"they all look alike."
An example: A child who only sees a "truck"
will likely score lower on standard IQ tests, than a child who sees a
bright yellow fire truck racing to save a family's
house#"#.

The difficulty faced by all truly new ideas:
Per German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer:
-
First, it's ridiculed.
-
Second, it's violently opposed.
-
Third, it is accepted as self–evident
Per Mahatma Gandhi (Perhaps first person to exploit TV to become a personal icon to
help issue in the politics of personalities.):
-
First they ignore you.
-
Then they laugh at you.
-
Then they fight you., then you win.
-
Then you win.

which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up

Many Americans readily worship "ancient cultures" and anyone of a nation or culture that
is clearly not of America because they can do so without calling attention to their own
lack of meaningful contribution. I.e. allowing the admiration or reward of other
Americans makes them feel inferior. E.g. When a person born to the serving class in
England worked to raise their living conditions, the worst critics where their less
ambitious peers who criticized them as "Acting above their station". Or when women in
America sought the right to vote, some of the most vicious critics where other women.
Ditto a fable from Hawaii: Put on black crab in a bucket and the energeting crab will
get out. Put many in, and none escape, because the timid or weak ones hold on to the
ones who try to get away in fear of being left behind. Ditto ignorant adolescents in
ghetto communities. They harass, humiliate and hurt others who decide to study as a
way of improving thier lives.
